Amplicon Sequencing Workshop: Introduction to Analyzing Microbial Diversity

As part of the Clemson University Genomics and Bioinformatics Facility’s mission to make next-generation sequencing and analysis accessible, we are pleased to offer a two-day practical workshop on amplicon sequencing and analyses. Participants will be walked through a simple 16S amplicon sequencing analysis including experimental design, ASV vs. OTU assignment, diversity metrics, taxonomic databases, analysis platforms (QIIME2 and Mothur), and analyzing and visualizing the data in RStudio. All users will be provided example data.

When: Tuesday and Wednesday, June 4th & 5th from 1-5 p.m.
