The Department of Sociology at Coastal Carolina University is hosting its 3rd South Carolina Creative Sociology Writing Competition.
This is a statewide contest open to undergraduate and graduate students from any discipline. Prize money is available ($500 for 1st place, $300 for 2nd place, and $200 for 3rd place), as is the potential for publication in CCU’s Waccamaw: A Journal of Contemporary Literature. The submission deadline is April 1, 2026.
