After an exciting inaugural year featuring impressive pitches from military-affiliated entrepreneurs across the country, we’re excited to announce the 2nd Annual Blake Family Military & Veterans Pitch Competition!
Hosted by Clemson University’s Brook T. Smith Launchpad on November 6th, this national competition is open to teams with at least one founder who is active duty, active ROTC, reserve, National Guard, a veteran, or a military spouse. Teams will have the opportunity to pitch innovative business ideas and compete for a share of $25,000 in total prize funding. A panel of venture capitalists and angel investors will serve as judges, providing valuable feedback and opportunities to connect with potential early-stage funders. In addition to competing for cash prizes, teams will gain exposure to investors, access to mentorship opportunities, and the chance to build meaningful connections with peers, funders, and other supporters.
Applications are open now and close on October 16th. Up to 10 finalist teams will be invited to Clemson University to compete in the live finals on Friday, November 6th. We are proud to host this event as part of Clemson’s commitment to serving military-affiliated entrepreneurs and their families and empowering them to create meaningful impact through leadership and innovation.
