Greetings fellow Tigers!

Last week we welcomed our newest graduates into our Clemson family as alumni. It is an exciting time for our graduates as they enter the world with infinite possibilities. While their journey as Clemson students may be coming to an end, their lives are just beginning. And to be a Clemson Tiger is knowing that no matter how far we may travel, we will forever be a part of the Clemson family. We wish each of them the best as they embark on the future. You can view photos from graduation here.

We will kick off the fall semester during Clemson’s annual Welcome Back Festival next Tuesday, August 20 in downtown Clemson from 6 – 8 p.m. Sponsored by the Clemson Alumni Association and the Student Alumni Council, the festival features more than 80 local vendors offering a variety of merchandise and food. College Avenue will be shut down for students and community members to stroll through the various attractions. Entry to the festival is free, and food and merchandise can be purchased with tickets which are sold at the entrance of the festival. President Clements and Clemson Mayor J.C. Cook will speak, and the Tiger mascot will be there along with a Clemson Spirit Squad. I hope to see you downtown next Tuesday to kick off the new academic year! The money raised during the Welcome Back Festival will support the Student Alumni Council Scholarship Endowment Fund. You can find additional information here.

The enhancements happening around our campus are possible because of your generosity and commitment to Clemson. The new College of Business building is transforming before our eyes – daily! The long-awaited child development center, the expansion and renovation to the IPTAY building and the Snow Family Outdoor Fitness and Wellness Center are all quickly advancing through various construction phases, but they all remain on track for their projected completion dates. Thank you for making these developments at Clemson possible! You can read more about the progress of these projects here.

B- Committed!
Students are gradually returning to campus, and we are anxious to welcome a new group of students to Clemson and share with them the bond among Clemson Tigers. The experiences our students have during their four years here will be among the most memorable of their lives.

This Saturday is the official move-in day for our students, marking the beginning of a new journey for them. I am excited to join President Clements to lend a hand and help our students settle into their new home at Clemson University!

Our campus is transforming before our eyes every day, but the spirit of Clemson remains steadfast. No matter the changes, Clemson will forever be our home. Thank you for your commitment to Clemson and willingness to see the value in supporting Clemson students for generations to come.

Go Tigers!
