Four New Faculty Join the School

Four new faculty will join the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences in August 2025.  We are excited for them to join our team. Learn more about our newest faculty members below.

Haizhong Wang, the Bob Benmosche Endowed Professor, specializes in risk engineering and systems analytics and will be assigned to the Glenn Department of Civil Engineering. Dr. Wang is joining us from Oregon State University, where he taught as a Professor of Transportation Engineering.


Chung-Yi Lin specializes in water resources and will be assigned to the Glenn Department of Civil Engineering. Dr. Lin is joining us from Cornell University. His research combines agent-based modeling, simulation-optimization, control, and data analytics to investigate interactions between human activities and environmental factors, aiming to improve water management resilience amid climate change, societal demands, and technological advancements.


Ashish Manandhar specializes in biosystems engineering and will be assigned to the Department of Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences. Dr. Manandhar joins us from The Ohio State University where he recently worked as a research scientist studying biobased systems, bioenergy, techno-economic analysis, and lifecycle assessment.


Radwa Eissa specializes in construction engineering and management and will be assigned to the Glenn Department of Civil Engineering. Dr. Eissa is joining us from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Her research interests include circular economy transitions for a sustainable built environment.
