May 5, 2025

Clemson University hosted the ASCE Carolina’s Student Symposium on April 10-12, 2025. This highly competitive event brought together the brightest civil engineering students across North Carolina and South Carolina from nine universities, including Clemson University, Duke University, Horry Georgetown Technical College, North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina State University, South Carolina State University, The Citadel, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and the University of South Carolina. In addition to hosting the event at the Clemson campus, the Clemson ASCE Student Chapter placed first overall at the regional competition. Next year’s ’26 ASCE Carolinas Student Symposium will be hosted by North Carolina A&T

The commitment, teamwork, and determination of our students, staff and faculty, along with dedicated volunteers, mentors, and industry partners resulted in a winning formula for achievement. Three Clemson civil engineering teams will travel to compete at the national level. The following teams competing nationally are the Steel Bridge Team, the Surveying Team, and the Timber Strong Design-Build Team. These competitions will be held in Iowa and California. Best of luck to our ASCE teams! Go CE Tigers!!
