National Engineering week was filled with events throughout the week of February 19th – 23rd. Students took ownership of the activities which included building block towers between classes (highest tower in a specified time frame), pie-a professor to support renovations to the student lounge, and a competition trivia night.
Friday we were privileged to have the 2018 ASCE National President-Elect, Robin Kemper with us for the afternoon. Ms. Swallow met with both undergraduate and graduate students and also took the opportunity to discuss the progress of the 2018 concrete canoe and steel bridge competition with the team members. ASCE students hosted a reception in her honor. ASCE local student chapter president, Stephen Bowen presented Ms. Swallow with her personalized Clemson hard-hat complete with our Glenn Department logo and a Tiger Paw.
