2024 Junior Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching

EEES is super happy to share that this year’s recipient of the CECAS Junior Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching is EEES faculty member, Dr. Emily Scribner.  The Junior Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching is a new award being offered within the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences to recognize “the excellence in teaching in a CECAS discipline at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.”

Dr. Scribner has received this award for demonstrating excellence in teaching. As described by one of her student nominators, “Professor Scribner is an amazing professor. She fosters an environment of fun, thoughtful, and genuine learning. It is more than evident her desire to improve constantly and her desire to serve her students well.” This award recognizes both her excellence in teaching in the classroom and laboratory instruction resulting in student learning as well as her development and introduction of new teaching methods and materials to enhance learning.

Congratulations Emily, we are so proud of your accomplishments.
