Damsen Wins AWWA Scholarship

Aylissa Damsen, a junior majoring in Environmental Engineering, was recently awarded the W.W. “Witty” Adkins scholarship from the South Carolina Section of the American Water Works Association.  This scholarship is named for the former General Manager of the Greenville Water System. Mr. Adkins made significant contributions to the science and practice of water supply in the state of South Carolina, and was a leader in the American Water Works Association for decades.  The award will be presented at the 2018 South Carolina Environmental Conference (SCEC) at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center March 11-14, 2018, which is cosponsored by the Water Environment Association of South Carolina.

During the spring semester, Aylissa is serving as an intern with the Anderson Regional Joint Water System.  She expects to graduate with a BS degree in Environmental Engineering in May 2019.
