From 1902 to 1950, Dean Emeritus Samuel B. Earle made many contributions as a teacher and an administrator that gave rise to the prominence of the College of Engineering and Science. The Earle award is given annually to the outstanding engineering senior in the College. The 2015 winner is Barbara Tyler DuBose, who received her B.S. degree in Biosystems Engineering in May 2015. Tyler has taken a position with Duke Energy as a Groundwater Engineer.
