EEES Faculties receive the 2025 Esin Gulari Leadership and Service award & Byars Prize for Excellence in Teaching award

On September 17th, Dr. David Freedman and Dr. Minory Nammouz both received distinguished CECAS awards.

Congratulations to Dr. David Freedman for being the recipient for the 2025 Esin Gulari Leadership and Service award. He has served at Clemson University in the Department of Enviromental Engineering & Earth Sciences for 29 years in academic and leadership roles.  This award is well deserved and we celebrate his accomplishment.  An essential role of university faculty is service to the University, their profession, and society. The Leadership and Service Award is intended to recognize CECAS faculty that undertake leadership and service roles that require a selfless commitment of time and effort.

Congratulations to Dr. Minory Nammouz for being the recipient for the 2025 Byars Prize for Excellence in Teaching award. She has served at Clemson University in the Department of Enviromental Engineering & Earth Sciences for the past 14 years. Dr. Nammouz brings a wealth of knowledge to her student’s success in her classes. We celebrate her success and that of her students.  This award is given to CECAS faculty that demonstrate excellence in teaching fundamental courses (defined as 1000, 2000, and 3000-level) carrying a CECAS rubric required in an engineering curriculum. In addition to courses offered by engineering departments that include CPSC and GEOL.
