Congratulations to Janelle Mercer for receiving the first (1st) place award at the South Carolina Environmental Conference (SCEC) for the student poster session. She will present at the 2026 American Water Works Association ACE Conference (AWWA-ACE) in Washington D.C. in June 2026. Her research focuses on “The Aggregation of Microplastics by Enhancing Extracellular Polymeric Substance Growth in Pseudoalteromonas sp. NCIMB 2021 to Improve Removal Efficiencies in Environmental Matrices”. Janelle’s advisor is Dr. Kevin Finneran. Go Tigers!
