Congratulations to Hatice Yildirim for winning first place in the student poster competition at the American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) Annual Conference and Expo (ACE24), held in Denver, Colorado from June 8 to 11, 2024. It was a wonderful showing at the national level for South Carolina! In addition, it was a great and historic week at the American Water Works Association. For the first time (we are aware of), all the South Carolina Section of AWWA competition teams made the finals of their respective events! To top things off, South Carolina’s entry in the Student Poster Competition won 1st place! What an amazing week. Congratulations to Hatice and her advisor Dr. Tanju Karanfil.
