Need Help with Data Analysis?

Most of us are not statisticians but we still need to analyze the data we collect to support decisions for programming and other Extension related activities. The Division of Assessment and Scholarship has hired a PhD student from the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences (DMSS) to provide statistical assistance for Extension. This student is focused on statistics, is interested in gaining experience with real-world data, and will be supervised by a faculty member in DMSS to ensure quality and accuracy of all analyses. The types of assistance that will be offered include

  • Data analysis
  • Data interpretation
  • Experimental design
  • Writing assistance for methods/results section of publications

While the student will be able to provide these services, it will be the responsibility of the requesting Extension personnel to organize their data in the required format for analysis. This service is a great opportunity to analyze short- and long-term evaluation data, pre- and post-tests to measure changes in knowledge, and any other data set that you need help analyzing.

If you would like to request data analysis assistance, please contact Susan Guynn at sguynn@clemson.edu. We hope you will take advantage of this great opportunity to generate data to support your decisions related to Extension programming and activities.
