This project will assess the impacts of Hurricane Helene on movement, population status, and habitat-use for aquatic species of conservation concern in groups such as suckers and freshwater mussels. It will help determine the location and timing of migrations, as well as population sizes and growth rates. This will be accomplished by using passive integrative transponder (PIT) tags that assist with identification and tracking of individuals.
