Several members of Clemson University’s student chapter of INFORMS attended the organization’s Annual Meeting in Seattle, WA from October 20-23, 2019. The Clemson chapter, which was honored by INFORMS for its notable activities, received a Cum Laude award. Current chapter president Berkay Gulcan and former chapter president Josh Margolis accepted the award on behalf of the organization. Additionally, several chapter members contributed conference presentations.

- Chapter Secretary Murwan Siddig presented, “Adaptive Partition-based SDDP Algorithms for Multistage Stochastic Linear Programming.”
- Chapter Vice President Di Nguyen presented, “Network Interdiction with Asymmetric Cost Uncertainty. “
- Chelsea Spence and Ozan Yilmazlar presented, “A Case Study in Line Balancing,” after winning the poster competition at the Clemson IE Student Research Symposium in October.
Clemson University’s student chapter of INFORMS is advised by Dr. Yongjia Song – an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering.
