Clemson University is set to host the Southern Regional Orientation Workshop (SROW) Friday, March 14 through Sunday, March 16. The annual conference, pronounced ‘sh-row’, is the regional conference to the national association- NODA the Association for Orientation, Transition and Retention. The conference is geared towards student leaders in orientation programs across the south east U.S.

Clemson’s hosts anticipate 2200 students, faculty and staff utilizing Littlejohn Coliseum, Fike Recreation Center, Harcombe Dining Hall, Schilletter Dining Hall, and Hendrix Student Center. Much of the conference programming is to be held on nights and the weekend not to interrupt University business. The last time Clemson University hosted SROW was in March 2005.

This year’s conference features several conference traditions including Song, Skit and Dance competition, case study competition and over 100 educational sessions for student leaders the opportunity to present. Additionally the conference is conducting a service project benefiting Foothills Alliance a local organization who supports survivors of child abuse and sexual assault. Regional institutions are collecting supplies to support the agency in its endeavors.
