Tiger Band Kidz Klub

Tiger kids will once again have the chance to get an up-close look at the talents and instruments of Tiger Band.

Tiger Band Kidz Klub is open to all children aged 1 to 13 and their parents. Meetings are held the Friday before each home football game at 5 pm on the band practice field. This season, meetings will be held on Friday, Sept. 11; Fridays, Oct. 2, 9, and 16; and Fridays, Nov. 6 and 20. The Kidz Klub provides an in-depth look at the instruments Tiger Band musicians play and participation in band activities. Kids can even help the band practice the “most exciting 25 seconds in college football” by playing the role of the Clemson football players.

The band practice field is located at Perimeter and Cherry roads next to the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts parking lot. Please be aware that the Tiger Band Kidz Club cannot be responsible for unsupervised children.

90 minutes before kickoff

Tiger Band will hold its “90 Minutes Before Kickoff” concerts this football season on home football Saturdays. The concert, which is also a pep rally, will take place at the outdoor amphitheater near the reflection pond at the center of campus.

One and a half hours before kickoff, Tiger Band will perform classics from their repertoire, such as “Tiger Rag” and “Eye of the Tiger,” as well as contemporary songs and half-time show highlights before making its traditional march down Fort Hill Street to Memorial Stadium.

The concerts will begin one and a half hours before kickoff on Sept. 5, 12, Oct. 3, 10, and 17, and Nov. 7 and 21. Check local listings for kickoff times.

New parking areas reserved for IPTAY spaces:
With the success of Clemson’s football team, increased season ticket sales, and ongoing construction, additional parking spaces have been reserved across campus for IPTAY donors.

If any vehicles are left in one of these areas, it will be towed.

Employee parking on game day: Due to the reallocation of IPTAY spaces within the Sikes/Long parking lot to increase safety with ADA shuttle route diversion, employee parking has been reduced within the lot. A limited number of employee spaces remain in the aisle adjacent to Long Hall only. These spaces are reserved for those faculty and staff which must work on game days and is not meant as an alternative tailgating area. If this area is full, working employees are encouraged to park in green spaces along McMillan Rd and within the E-15 parking lot on the east side of Cooper Library.

All Non-IPTAY vehicles entering the lot will be charged $20 for parking in the lot.

Lot 2A – Temporary Commuter Parking – Closed Friday: To prepare for game day, lot 2A, (across from Fike Recreation Center) which has been designated for temporary commuter parking, is closed today. The lot will reopen for general use when game day parking items have been cleared. People should park in the white spaces in P-3 parking lot behind the stadium instead of lot 2A. This lot will be closed each Friday before home football games.
