Open enrollment for benefits begins

The annual state insurance open-enrollment period began Oct. 1, 2016, and runs through Oct. 31, 2016. Employees can make changes (effective Jan. 1, 2017) to their state insurance package and enroll or re-enroll in a Medical Spending Account (MSA) and/or Dependent Care Spending Account (DCSA). Details about open enrollment can be found in PEBA’s Benefits Advantage, the Office of Human Resources’ (OHR) Open Enrollment Updates, and the announcements section of OHR’s website.

To support the open-enrollment period, OHR will host the inaugural Pro Benefits EXPO at the Hendrix Student Center on October 14, 2016. More information can be found here. Click here to download the event onto your calendar.

Employees can make changes to their state insurance package online through their PEBA MyBenefits profile at mybenefits.sc.gov and can enroll or re-enroll in a Medical Spending Account and/or Dependent Care Spending Account through their MyFBMC member profile at www.myFBMC.com. Re-enrollment in an MSA or DCSA for 2016 is not automatic.

Please contact OHR’s Benefits unit at (864) 656-2000 or online at Ask-HR.
