Pearce Center seeks funded project proposals from faculty

To augment its ongoing commitment to improving the communication skills of all Clemson students, the Pearce Center for Professional Communication invites requests from faculty in all disciplines for:

  • Small grants for curricular or other initiatives that enhance oral, written, visual, and/or digital communication or that foster writing to learn at Clemson;
  • Small grants for communication-based, peer-reviewed research;
  • Assistance developing a communication component in grant proposals;
  • Space/technology in the Class of 1941 Studio for Student Communication for classes or research teams; and/or,
  • Intern support for editing, graphic design, or other project components.

Faculty should submit proposals consisting of:

  • A brief description of the proposed project,
  • A statement of anticipated outcomes, and
  • An estimated budget.

Proposals should be sent to Angie Justice by March 25, 2014 and will be reviewed by the Pearce Center Faculty Advisory Committee. Contact David Blakesley, interim director of the Pearce Center for Professional Communication, with any questions.

We will highlight funded projects on the Pearce Center website through post-project videos, blog entries, narrated presentations, and more.
