Inside Clemson

Video Productions transitions to Auxiliary

Video and Radio Production Services will cease operations as departments of the Public Service Activities division at the end of June, transitioning to an auxiliary enterprise in the division of Institutional Advancement on July 1. The auxiliary unit will be self-supporting through fees charged for services.

The new department, nicknamed “Paw Productions,” will be housed at the Madren Conference Center, where new radio and television production facilities are under construction.

“The new department’s sole purpose is to capture the Clemson story and prepare it for distribution to the varied audiences important to Clemson,” said Neill Cameron, vice president for Institutional Advancement. “Its role is to capture, produce and distribute content developed by faculty, staff and students. We’re a support unit for outreach, marketing and communications, online education and academic programs.”

The unit will employ many of the staff members who previously worked in Video and Radio Productions and will provide numerous internships for students interested in communications and broadcast careers.

A rate card that outlines service fees is being developed.
