Carolyn Ezell Foster, 98, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Carolyn was born in New Orleans on April 6, 1925, and moved with her family to the Upstate of South Carolina at age four.
She taught for over forty years at many local institutions and spent over fifty years in research, writing, and editing. She moved to Clemson in 1985, caring for her mother and younger brother, and working with Clemson University’s Department of Finance. She retired from Clemson in 1990 but returned as a visiting instructor for the Department of Finance in 1999.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 13 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 193 Old Greenville Hwy, Clemson, S.C. 29630.
