Headley Morris Cox, Jr., retiree – Feb. 22, 2013

Headley Morris Cox, Jr., 96, of Clemson died Feb. 22, 2013.

Cox retired from Clemson in 1982 after 39 years of service. However, he was associated with Clemson University for more than 50 years, serving as head of the English department, and dean of the College of Liberal Arts. In 1958-59 he was Senior Fulbright Lecturer in the University of Graz, Austria.

Cox is survived by his wife, three children, three stepchildren, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., today (Monday, Feb. 25) at Clemson United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
