Judy L. Marek, faculty – Jan. 26, 2019

Judy L. Marek, 54, of Seneca, died Jan. 26. A magna cum laude graduate of Clemson, Marek was a lecturer in the engineering department of the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences.

She is survived by her son, daughter and her husband, Todd Marek, executive director of the Watt Family Innovation Center.

“We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Judy Marek, who was a lecturer in the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences,” said Anand Gramopadhye, the college’s dean. “A loss in the Clemson Family is felt by us all. On behalf of the college, I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to her family and friends.”

A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m. Jan. 31 at East Cobb Presbyterian Church, 4616 Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia, 30062. A reception immediately follows the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clemson’s Women in Science and Engineering (WISE program).
