Kate McFadden, Ph.D., 41, of Seneca, died Oct. 28. McFadden served as assistant professor of wildlife biology for three years in the School of Agricultural, Forest, and Environmental Sciences and was assistant unit leader of the USGS South Carolina Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit
McFadden is survived by her husband, Okan Demirmen, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 31 at Davenport Funeral Home, West Union, SC.
