Marian Hull Withington, 92, of Greenville, passed away on April 26, 2023.
She served Clemson University as a Reference Librarian from 1964 until her retirement in 1990. Prior to Clemson, she served as a secretary with the U.S. Department of Air Force at Donaldson Air Force Base in Greenville. She subsequently went on to work at the U.S. Department of State in Bonn, Germany, the American Embassy in Cairo, Egypt and in Washington, D.C. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in Library Science from Florida State University.
A memorial service will be held at Christ Church Episcopal, Greenville, in the Markley Chapel on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 2 p.m., followed by a graveside committal in Christ Churchyard.
