Roger Simpson, 62, of Seneca, died Feb. 4, 2017. Simpson was a senior lecturer of Spanish.

Simpson joined Clemson’s faculty in 1999, after having taught at the high school level for 14 years. He was a graduate of Clemson, with a B.A. in Modern Languages and an M.Ed.

Dean Richard Goodstein said that Simpson was actively engaged in the life of the department of languages and was loved by colleagues and students alike. “The College of Architecture, Arts and Humanities will long feel his loss,” he said.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 at the Brown-Oglesby Funeral Home in Seneca. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday Feb. 7 at the Oconee Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus-Duncan, 1923 E. Main St. Suite B, Duncan SC 29334.
