Clemson Composites Center founded by Dr.Srikanth Pilla won the Inno Vision Technology Integration Award for the Ultralightweight Door Project sponsored by the Department of Energy and Honda R&D. Dr. Gang Li of the Mechanical Engineering Department has been integral in this research. The student members of the research team included Anmol Kothari (current Ph.D. student), Madhura Limaye (current Ph.D. student), Istemi Ozsoy (Postdoc, currently Assistant Professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University), Gaurav Dalal (M.S. student, graduated).
