Clemson ME Graduate Steven Fredericks has a new position at University of Minnesota where he is leading a research team droplet spray in crop fields. The lab recently acquired a new low-speed subsonic wind tunnel in a gift from WinField United, a leader in the field of agriculture. The wind tunnel is used in simulating the the tiny droplets from boom sprayers used to apply chemicals to plants. It will help undergraduate and graduate students gain valuable skills and experience in high-tech agricultural research.
