Congratulations to Joshua Summers for receiving the 2012 Governor’s Award for Excellence in Scientific Awareness. This is a major accomplishment. Josh will receive his award at a public ceremony held at the South Carolina Academy of Science Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 14 at the University of South Carolina Aiken. As part of the award, the Academy traditionally presents a framed certificate highlighting his accomplishments along with a monetary award. Josh will also be invited to contribute to the Governor’s Award Special Issue of the Journal of the South Carolina Academy of Science.
