ME Ph.D. student, Behzad Sadrfaridpour, wins “Best Student Conference Paper Award”

Behzad Sadrfaridpour has won the “Best Student Conference Paper Award” at the twelfth annual IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (IEEE CASE 2016) for the paper he coauthored with Dr. Hamed Saeidi and Dr. Yue Wang. The paper is entitled “An Integrated Framework for Human-Robot Collaborative Assembly in Hybrid Manufacturing Cells”.

The purpose of this award is to recognize a student author(s) of a paper that contributes a notable advancement in automation research. The conference papers are judged based on originality, innovation, depth, quality, and significance in automation science and engineering, and quality of presentation at IEEE-CASE. This year, the conference was held in Fort Worth Texas, USA, August 21 to 24, 2016.
