Clemson, SC – Leadership changes have been announced for Clemson Online. Dr. Witt Salley has accepted an executive post leading digital and distance education at Mississippi State University.
Provost Jones has selected Dr. Katherine Perkins, Clemson Online’s Deputy Director of E-Learning Excellence to serve as Interim Director of Clemson Online. Dr. Salley’s last day at Clemson is May 31; however, Dr. Perkins’ appointment as Interim Director of Clemson Online was effective May 1, to facilitate a smooth leadership transition and comprehensive knowledge transfer.
Additionally, Clemson Online now reports directly to Dr. Frances Kennedy, Associate Provost for Academic Finance and Operations, a new leadership position that has been created in part, to execute and lead the ClemsonForward strategic plan. One of the key elements of this strategic plan is online learning, as indicated by this change in reporting structure.
Ending the semester well entails examining the course outcomes from multiple perspectives
