Clemson Online: Where Tech and Teaching Meet

E-Learning Preparedness Day November 3rd

Clemson will be conducting a continuity exercise called E-Learning Day on November 3, 2025. In the event of a crisis, which is often unforeseen, one of the best ways to prepare is to know what to do and what tools are available for you to use. This event will occur statewide across all Clemson teaching sites. While the campus will not close, all face-to-face instruction should be moved online. Services like the library, Academic Success Center, and University Testing Center will remain available.

E-Learning Day includes lab and studio sections; departments should prepare to transition sections held on this day to an online format. Graduate courses should also transition to an online format; however, students in a research lab may continue to meet in person.

While E-Learning Preparedness Day may be uncomfortable, the goal is to make the event of an unplanned emergency manageable. So, instructors should not cancel their classes on November 3rd.

For further information and tips for preparing your course in case of emergency refer to the page on Emergency Remote Instruction.
