Auburn signs MOU with Indian research institute

Members of the Tigers United University Consortium – Auburn, Clemson, LSU and Missouri – pursue partnerships with institutions in tiger range countries to promote tiger conservation through research and outreach initiatives.

Auburn University’s College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment has established an International Memorandum of Understanding with the Forest College and Research Institute (FCRI), Hyderabad, India, to promote tiger conservation in Telangana State, India. Ms. Priyankaa Varghese, Dean of FCRI and Chief Conservator of Forests visited Auburn on September 13, 2023 to sign the memorandum and presented a seminar on Telangana’s tiger conservation efforts. Tigers United University Consortium director Brett Wright also presented.
