The South Carolina Chapter of The Wildlife Society held its annual meeting on October 21, celebrating the outstanding accomplishments of students and faculty within the Department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation (FEC). Several members of our community were honored for their dedication, leadership, and contributions to the field of wildlife management.
Lauren Lusk, a Wildlife and Fisheries Biology undergraduate student, was awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award! This award is presented to students to recognize their dedication, academic accomplishments, and contributions and achievements in the field of wildlife management.
Dr. Susan Loeb was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is granted to those in recognition of their contributions and achievements made in the art and science of Wildlife Management as a Wildlife Biologist, Researcher, Conservationist and Mentor.
Dr. Wes Boone was elected to serve on the Executive Committee for The Wildlife Society, furthering his leadership role in shaping the future of wildlife conservation in South Carolina.
These achievements exemplify the excellence and dedication that define the FEC community, and we are incredibly proud of the impact you continue to make in the field of wildlife conservation. Congratulations all!
