Every year we give back to our community by getting Christmas gifts for children in less fortunate homes. Please come celebrate the holidays and spread the holiday cheer! You may pick a family from our list, then later go out to purchase a gift or two from their child’s wishlist. We will have breakfast food and drinks available at the event.

Friday, Nov. 11th 2:30pm – 3:30pm

Guest Speaker at the Human Factors Discussion Group in Brackett 419

We will have a guest speaker (a former Clemson graduate student) talking with us remotely over Skype. Our guest speaker will be Linnea Hagen from Amazon. She will talk to us about her work as a Senior User Researcher.

See you there!

Yesterday, Tuesday September 13th, HFES officers visited Dr. Gil Einstein‘s undergraduate psychology class at Furman University to deliver a guest lecture on Human Factors, its impact on our daily lives, and the research pursuits of our Clemson students and faculty.

USEV collaboration and Tiger Prowl

This summer, student members of Clemson’s HFES chapter collaborated with US Engine Valve (USEV). Together, we produced a thorough ergonomics assessment of their plant in Westminster, SC. Our CUHFES team members presented their findings to USEV yesterday, and it went great! We want to thank Clay Murphy and his team at USEV for the amazing opportunity they have provided us. We had a great time and we hope to continue working together soon!

On August 16, CUHFES officers Dan Quinn, Scott Betza, Will Leidheiser, and Drea Fekety represented our chapter at Clemson’s Tiger Prowl event. Tiger Prowl is an annual event for new students to learn about campus organizations, and it was an excellent opportunity for us to showcase CUHFES’s work and recruit new members. We’re looking forward to next year’s event!
