
#OTD – Thomas G. Clemson. IV. died on April 6, 1888. The date is sometimes called Founder’s Day. With Clemson’s Last Will & Testament initiated the process to create a “High Seminary of Learning,” on the Fort Hill estate. Likewise, it established that Fort Hill shall be “open for the inspection of visitors.”
