2024 Inspiring Excellence Alumni of the Year Award winners announced

During the Clemson University Industrial Engineering End of Year Celebration, the inaugural Inspiring Excellence Alumni of the Year Award recipients were recognized for their impact on the university and contributions to the IE professional community. Award recipients are accomplished and notable alumni who have graduated from Clemson’s Industrial Engineering program.

Each recipient was chosen based on their contributions to Clemson University, as well as to the Industrial Engineering department, influence within the broader Industrial Engineering profession, career achievements, personal milestones, and commitment to community services, mentoring, and volunteerism efforts.

      

Mr. Arin Bhowmick received the Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award and graduated with his master’s degree from Clemson IE in 2000.
Mr. Russell Johnson received the Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award and graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Clemson IE in 1960.
Mr. Michael “Mickey” Olsen was a recipient of the Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award after graduating with his degree in Clemson IE in 1967.
Mr. Ryan Starnes was awarded the Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award. Starnes received his bachelor’s degree from Clemson IE in 2010.
Dr. Robert Curry received the Young Alumni of the Year Award after receiving his PhD from Clemson IE in 2018.
Mrs. Ali Hobbs Everett is a recipient of the Young Alumni of the Year Award. She received her bachelor’s degree from Clemson IE in 2015 and her master’s degree from Clemson IE in 2016.
