On December 6th, Dr. Jessica Aviles presented at a Congressional Briefing for the Science, Space, and Technology Committee, held in Washington, DC.
The briefing highlighted four projects funded by the NSF aimed at Accelerating Advancement in Manufacturing.
Dr. Aviles co-led an interactive showcase to introduce Congress members and staff to the cutting-edge research led by Dr. Divya Srinivasan (Clemson IE) and Dr. Georgia Chao (University of South Florida) about how exoskeletons can best be implemented and scaled-up among workers to advance the future of manufacturing.
Dr. Aviles is a current NSF eFellows Postdoctoral Fellow in IE and in January, is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering.
