During the 67th HFES Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, Clemson IE students and faculty were awarded for their contributions to the human factors and ergonomics field, followed by the student chapter receiving the Gold HFES Chapter Recognition Award.

Malik Balogun ’23 followed in his mother’s footsteps when he chose to attend Clemson. He did it again when he selected Industrial Engineering as his major and yet again when he sought a leadership position to help make Clemson a more welcoming campus for all.

Their project will explore the impacts of patient choice in early-stage clinical trials for new medicines and treatments and address health equity.

Clemson IE’s Dr. Jessica Avilés presents at a Congressional Briefing for the Science, Space, and Technology Committee in Washington, DC. Dr. Avilés co-led the showcase of cutting-edge research led by Dr. Divya Srinivasan (Clemson IE) and Dr. Georgia Chao (University of South Florida).

This weekend, North Carolina State University hosted the 2023 IISE Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference. Clemson’s own, Eliza Macaulay, presented her research in the technical paper competition and won first place!
