Roger Best Rollin, 87, died Dec. 10, 2017. He was a Named Lemon Professor of Literature and Professor Emeritus of English, who retired in 1995 with 20 years of service.
College of Architecture, Arts and Humanities Dean Rick Goodstein described Rollin as a celebrated member of the Department of English, a passionate spokesman for social justice, decorated scholar and charismatic actor.
Rollin is survived by his wife, son, daughter family and friends.
A celebration of Rollin’s life will be held at a later date at a time and place to be announced by Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
