Clemson Online is proud to offer a variety of trainings, workshops, and faculty-led discussions regarding online and blended instruction this Fall. Check out our Events Page to learn more about specific dates and subjects, and registration information and links for each event.

First Friday Coffee & ConversationsEvery first Friday this Fall: Get inspired to enhance your classroom experience by exploring tools and practices that increase student engagement. Grab your cup of coffee or tea, relax, and be part of the virtual conversation. Join our meeting space in Zoom from 8:15am until 9:00am.

Quick HitsVarious Thursdays this Fall: Jump in these short and informative discussions on tips to increase effectiveness and efficiency in your current teaching practices and courses. These 30-minute sessions will be available live through Zoom and recorded to be viewed later.

  • Sept 3rd: Setting up Canvas: Gradebook, Cross-listing, Importing/Exporting, Sharing Courses with Colleagues
  • Sept 17th: What’s New in Zoom
  • Oct 1st: Using groups in Canvas

Tigers TeachVarious Tuesdays this Fall: Tigers Teach aims to empower instructors with short talks on teaching issues and trends.

Canvas WorkshopsTwice a Month on Tuesdays this Fall: Want to know more about Canvas? Grab your lunch and join us virtually at one or all of these workshops from 12pm to 1pm!

  • Sept 8: Grading (assignment groups, grade weights, override final grade, lates, auto 0)
  • Sept 22: Grading Speedgrader
  • Oct 6: Canvas Assignments (Types and Options)
  • Oct 20: Canvas Discussions
  • Nov 10: Canvas Quizzes/Exams
  • Dec 1: Gradebook for finals

CONCERTBegins Tuesday, October 13th: This five-week asynchronous and interactive course is intended for faculty teaching or developing courses online. This session begins on October 13th, so please sign-up before this date. The course is designed for anyone wishing to refresh or learn for the first time online teaching. Once enrolled, you will receive an invitation to the Canvas course prior the start date.

Clemson Online Virtual Drop-In SessionsEvery Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: Bring your specific questions about Clemson supported instructional technologies and systems such as Zoom, Canvas, Ensemble, Camtasia, and Respondus Monitor to our experts.
