Our Spring 2026 Online Instructional Development Calendar covers a wide variety of topics! Our Quick Hits sessions will help you learn about online teaching tools at Clemson, while our Presentations and Workshop Wednesdays cover best practices for online learning and accessibility. Check out some of our upcoming training sessions below!

Upcoming Presentations and Workshops

All sessions will be held over Zoom. After registering, you will receive the Zoom link. All registrants will be sent a copy of the recorded training.

  • January 14 – Explore Assistive Technology: Screen Readers, Keyboard Navigation, and More
    • This workshop will explore several of the programs and features built into most devices that individuals with disabilities use to access the digital world. These technologies include color filters, magnification, keyboard navigation, screen readers, and more. Becoming familiar with these tools will improve your ability to identify accessibility barriers in your course and, in other ways, create a more welcoming environment for students with disabilities.
  • January 28 – Turning Micro-content into Mastery With AI personalized Learning
    • This session explores how we can leverage AI to transform bite-sized lessons into personalized learning experiences. Participants will discover how to create micro-lesson, recommend just-in-time resources, and scaffold micro-assessments that build toward true mastery. Whether you’re designing learning modules, or student activities, you will learn practical ways to make every 60-second learning moment meaningful and measurable.   • February 4 – Giving Effective Online Feedback
    • Join this training to learn more about providing students with effective feedback through Canvas. This training will cover best practices for online feedback, as well as practical tips and tools for saving yourself time when it comes to providing feedback to students through Canvas. When registering, please include any questions you have about this training topic.
  • Workshop Wednesday: Introduction to Active Online Learning
    • Join this training to learn more about how to increase active learning in your Canvas course! Increasing active learning will help your learners stay engaged and motivated in your online course. When registering, please include any questions you have about this training topic.

    • Join this training to learn more about best practices for creating videos with Kaltura. Kaltura is Clemson’s online video storage solution. It can also be used to make and edit videos. This training will introduce you to several practical tools and tips for ensuring your teaching videos are engaging and effective for your students.   • February 19 – Quick Hits: Saving Time with Canvas Analytics
    • This workshop will cover a variety of time-saving tips, tricks, settings, and analytics you can utilize to make the most of your time in Canvas.
