Clemson University’s Cooper Library will be conducting an online training event, AI Literacy: Understanding AI Tools for Locating Reliable Information. This session will count as one hour of advanced RCR credit. If interested, register at Understanding AI Tools for Locating Reliable Information – Clemson Bookings – Clemson University. If you would like to receive RCR credit for attendance, please email rcrtraining@clemson.edu.
After attending this session, participants should be able to:
- Define the terms “artificial intelligence,” “machine learning,” “large language model,” and “neural network” as they apply to the use of AI tools for use specifically in research (finding sources, visualizing data, etc.)
- Recognize the benefits and limitations of AI tools for finding reliable information
- Identify and explain the differences between various types of AI for use in research, as defined by their capabilities and computational mechanisms
