Damon Doolittle is contributing to the South Carolina Asian Longhorned Beetle Eradication Program as a ALB Technician, but this is far from his first encounter with the pest.
Damon got his start with ALB working for USDA APHIS in New York City in 2012. In 2013 he moved to Ohio to assist with the ALB eradication program there.
He brings with him a broad range of emergency program experience including survey, outreach and contract monitoring and management.
Prior to working on ALB programs Damon helped regulate fruit fly and Asian Citrus Psyllid quarantines in southern California and conducted multi-pest citrus surveys in south Texas.
In his free time Damon enjoys hiking, paddling, gardening and eating great food. He can’t wait to experience all that the Low Country has to offer.
