Meet Our Fall Interns!

Sarah Jane Lynskey

Sarah Jane Lynskey is a packaging science major with a business minor from just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Through her studies of packaging and materials, she has developed a passion for sustainability, which has led her to the Summit Team. After graduation in December, Sarah Jane will go to work for Newell Brands.

What is your favorite part about the Advanced Print Lab internship so far?
I have loved the side projects that we are able to work on. Most recently, I was able to design a large corrugated connect four yard game, which was a lot of fun to prototype.

What has been your favorite part(s) of your Clemson experience?
My favorite part of my Clemson experience has been studying abroad in London. I was able to join Dr. Woolbright from Clemson Graphic Communications and some GC students in taking “Graphic Design for Packaging in a Global Marketplace” this past summer. The experience was very meaningful for me: both personally and academically.

What have you learned so far in your internship experience?
So far, I have learned how to operate the flexographic printing press and how to make printing plates.

What is your favorite part about the Advanced Print Lab Internship so far?
I have enjoyed being able to learn how a lab is run and how to operate the different machinery in the lab.

What has been your favorite part(s) of your Clemson experience?
I have met so many amazing people and made some forever-friends who are like family to me.

What have you learned so far in your internship experience?
The process of making plates and operating the large press.

My favorite part so far has been learning how to use all the different machines and getting to see my designs come to life.

My favorite part of my Clemson experience has been meeting new people who have the same interests as me and helping to grow the Clemson Whitewater Kayaking Club.

What have you learned so far in your internship experience?
I have learned how to make a printing plate which has been one of my favorite parts.
