Garden-to-Table Luncheon offers hands-on culinary experience in Florence

Food enthusiasts and home cooks are invited to a unique hands-on culinary workshop.

The Garden-to-Table Lunch and Learn event, hosted by Clemson University Cooperative Extension, will be Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Florence1Farm, 2101 N. Williston Rd., Florence, South Carolina.

Space is limited so early registration is encouraged.

The event is part of the Preservation and Culinary Series. It focuses on food-safe herb techniques and homemade delicacies. Participants will learn to:

  • Make sourdough biscuits
  • Craft farmers’ cheese
  • Roll Asian fresh wraps

Attendees will enjoy a three-course farm lunch and take home a variety of items, including a sourdough starter, homemade cheese, herb seeds and a comprehensive resource packet.

The workshop also includes demonstrations and activities designed to deepen culinary skills and appreciation for fresh, local ingredients.
