Clemson Extension recently launched its inaugural hybrid Living Shorelines Training Program. This collaborative initiative involves Clemson Extension, SCDNR, SCDHEC, The Nature Conservancy, SC Sea Grant, ACE Basin Natural Estuarine Research Reserve, and the Coastal Conservation League.
Held at SCDNR’s Fort Johnson in Charleston, the field day attracted participants keen on learning about living shorelines. The comprehensive course covers everything from site assessment and installation materials to methods and performance evaluation of living shoreline installations in estuarine environments.
