News

Register for CCIT’s first-year laptop set-up workshops to help you prepare for a new semester! Teams of CCIT employees are excited to help new first-year students ensure their laptops are ready for a new semester and academic year. On Tuesday, August 19, students can bring their laptops to workshop sessions for their types of laptops (Windows or macOS).

 
CCIT has launched TigerHub, powered by ServiceNow! TigerHub is a one-stop location for services and support, including links to partners like Human Resources, Parking and Transportation Services, TigerOne and more.

 
University-owned devices running Windows 10 will be updated to Windows 11 this Summer. As Microsoft discontinues support for Windows 10 later this year, and to ensure you continue to receive important security updates, performance enhancements, and ongoing support, CCIT engineers will be upgrading all University-owned devices currently running Windows 10 to Windows 11.

Join us for High Performance Computing (HPC) Day on Friday, September 26! Join CCIT Research Computing and Data for a full-day event dedicated to showcasing the power of HPC in research and education. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues, learn new skills and explore the cutting-edge work happening across campus and beyond. Registration is required; free food and giveaways for all registered attendees.

The popular GIS Fundamentals Workshop Series returns this semester! These workshops have been streamlined to cover five critical topics that guarantee coverage of all the GIS fundamentals. The first workshop topic will be “Introduction to GIS with ArcGIS Online,” held in-person on Friday, August 29 and online Friday, September 5. These workshops are free and open to all Clemson students, faculty, and staff; no previous experience is necessary. Sessions will be delivered online and in person every other Friday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Note: Attendance at the first two workshops is mandatory to participate in the remaining sessions.

Clemson Online is hosting support drop-ins this week for Canvas topics! Drop in for one-on-one support with Canvas on the afternoons of August 19, 20 and 21. Whether you have a quick question or want support working on your own Canvas course, Clemson Online is here to help!


August Tech Tip

Qualtrics is a web-based platform that allows Clemson users to create surveys, collect and store data, and produce reports from anywhere in the world. Available to all faculty and staff, Qualtrics features an easy-to-use interface, survey templates, collaboration and data visualization tools, and more.
