Research Internship Summer Experience at NC State

The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at NC State University is proud to announce the 2019 RISE (Research Internship Summer Experience) program.

RISE is open to current undergraduate students in the upper classes as well as master’s students who are interested in doctoral studies. The RISE program will be hosted at the NC State campus in Raleigh, NC, during the months of June and July (June 1 – August 2), 2019.

Synopsis The Blandy Experimental Farm provides an Undergraduate Research Fellowship to students interested in ecology and environmental science. The primary goal is to teach students to formulate testable hypotheses about important ecological and evolutionary questions. The format of the program encourages students to develop skills in experimental design, data collection, analysis, and critical reading of primary scientific literature. Students also learn to prepare and communicate scientific information to other scientists and the general public.

Synopsis REU Site: Nanotechnology for Health, Energy and the Environment is an opportunity for qualified, academically talented and motivated undergraduates interested in eventually pursuing their doctoral degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline at Stony Brook University. The program gives students an intensive research experience with leading researchers in the field.

Summer REU Program in Marine Science

Summer REU Program in Marine Science

University of Delaware

 

Interns will work with faculty in a research-intensive setting on a research topic in chemical, physical, or biological oceanography, marine biology or marine geology. In addition to hands-on research experience, student support includes a $6,200 stipend, campus housing, and travel assistance.

Supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation’s Division of Ocean Sciences, this REU program supports ten undergraduate students to conduct research in marine science.  The program will take place at the University of Delaware’s Hugh R. Sharp campus in the resort community of Lewes, located on the shores of the Delaware Bay and Atlantic Ocean near Cape Henlopen State Park.
